Look to bring Carroll on for Ayew and Fernandes for Arbeloa if we do find ourselves chasing the game in the second half.

Play Payet behind Carroll they have a good understanding,Carroll always comes back as defender for set pieces we can leave Payet out of the way up front.

Park the bus, stop the bleeding, play for the point. I know it's fucking negative, but we do not have the luxury of attacking at this point. look to hit them on a set piece. We don't stand a chance of going pound for pound, especially given morale. Carroll absolutely cannot start at this point. I'd much rather have him for 10 short substitute appearances than 1 start.
